Roku Announces New Steaming Players

Streaming entertainment is a massive, and fast-growing industry, with more and more users making the shift from traditional broadcasting every day. When the trend started to emerge—and before cable providers got wise—streaming web players like the Roku device came to the fold early and are now partially responsible for setting the industry standards that we have today in terms of accessibility, quality, and accountability.

But simply being an innovator is not enough in an industry moving as quickly as this. Indeed, you have to keep reinventing yourself and developing new ways to retain existing customers and immigrate new ones.

As such, Roku Inc has just announced five new streaming players that will offer unprecedented variety among a single product line for web users and entertainment lovers alike. This new lineup includes a vast range of streaming media players that offer improved performance, better wireless reception, more convenient features, and, of course, the best value ever offered.

The new Roku Express, for one, gives anyone access to streaming HD media for under $30. The company is also offering an “ultimate” player device—the Roku Ultra—for about $100. And to add a little extra to entice you, the company has also announced the latest version of its operating system: Roku OS 8.

Roku TV and player general manager Chas Smith comments, “Our new streaming player line up provide performance, price, and features to meet our user’s needs so they can sit back, relax, and enjoy their TV viewing experience even more.”

He goes on to say, “Consumer will love our new sleek Roku Streaming Stick+ with an innovative advanced wireless receiver that gives up to four times the wireless range and a remote that controls TV volume and power. It makes 4K and HDR streaming simple.”
