Recently, Maruri, No. car maker in country, has unvield its latest Ritz car engine. After the grand success of Maruti A-star, The comapny has great expectations with Maruti Ritz. The car will be a small car which may be launch in the month of may in the current year. This new car is powered by new K12M engine which is the next generation of its KB series engine. This engine was used in Maruti A-star recently. This new engine will produce 85PS power at 6000rpm and 113Nm torque at 4500rpm. Maruti Ritz would be most powerful car in its segment. The engine is quite light which reduce its loss to its apex. Apart from all quality, this engine is BS-IV compliant which makes this car more fuel efficient as well as envoirnmental freiendly.

After the lunching of Maruti A-star, India’s largest car maker is gearing up for lunching its new car Maruti Ritz which will be available in market in the month of may in the current year. Maruti Ritz would be a small car which would compete with Hyundai i10, Tata nano etc. earlier, Ritz was named as Maruti Splash but due to some registration problem, Car maker has finally decided to change the name of the car. The car is likely to look like a cross between a Maruti Swift and the Alto. The most important fact would be the pricing in a segment that is full of cars from different makers. The price is likely to be between Rs 3.90 lakhs and Rs 4.30 lakhs in India car market.

Maruti Ritz is powered by BS-IV engines and a 5-speed manual gearbox. Maruti Ritz will be equipped with 1.2L petrol engine and 1.3L multi-jet diesel engine. it is interesting to know that Ritz is 1.68 metres wider then Maruti Wagon R which belongs to the same family. The car is great example that showcase roomy interior, great functionality as well as configurable. A 1000cc, 65 bhp 3-cylinder and a 1200cc, 86 bhp 4-cylinder engine will power Suzuki’s gasoline aspirations while the 1248cc, 75 bhp multi-jet engine manufactured at Manesar in India will complete the engine lineup.

The car has incredible interior as its back seats is slightly higher then its front seats so that one can easily enjoy the view. There is LCD in the car which gives the driver additional information. It is expected that Ritz will be available in May 2009 with in 6 variants with two engine options. the car will be shine in 10 different colors, eight of which have a metallic finish and other two is developed by Suzuki specifically for the Ritz. The car is specially designed for urban, practical people with modern lifestyles. With the launching of Ritz, Maruti family includes 7 hatchbacks – 800, Alto, Zen Estilo, Wagon R, Swift, recently launched A-Star.

After establishing successfully in the A-segment and B-segment cars, Maruti Suzuki India limited (MSIL), India’s leading car maker is going to make its presence in D-segment car market by launching its first luxury family car “Maruti Suzuki Kizashi” by 2010. MSIL has already captured fifty percent small car market share. It has also launched its one of the most successful entry level sedans, Maruti Swift Dzire.

Maruti Suzuki Kizashi is expected to be the first all-wheel drive sedan Suzukiin the luxury D segment. Maruti Suzuki Kizashi will carry an advanced four-valve turbo-fired two-litre petrol, Euro V engine. The Kizashi was first showcased at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2007 and then at the Delhi Auto Expo 2008. The car is expected to roll out from its Manesar plant.

Maruti Suzuki Kizashi would cost the coustomer Rs. 10 lakh plus price and will compete with the Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, Hyundai Sonata, Skoda Octavia and Volkswagen Jetta besides other cars that will debut in the next three years. Thus, The Kizashi will be Maruti Suzuki’s first-ever D-segment car, which targets an uncompromising combination of affordability and emotional appeal, in addition to ensuring the cabin roominess that is essential for a D-segment.

Ford, leading US car maker company, has launched entry-level sedan ‘Ikon’ in India. The new Ford Ikon is not only sporting a slightly spruced up look but has the Duratorq diesel engine which does duty in the diesel Ford Fiesta and Ford Fusion. The new Ikon is available in two variants in market. One is diesel and another one is petrol variant. The DieselFord variants would now be powered by 1.4 litre Duratorq TDCi engine which already made presence in Ford Fiesta and Ford Fusion while the petrol variant would be powered by 1.3 litre RoCam engine. The new Ikon also boasts a freshened exterior design. The hood now has a sharper design and striking new headlamps along with an all new front bumper and larger lower grille. The Diesel variant would cost the customer Rs 5.19 lakh (ex-showroom), Delhi where as petrol variant would cost Rs 4.59 lakh (ex-showroom), Delhi.

” The new Ford Ikon comes with a two-year / 100,000 km warranty and is available in 7 colours – Diamond White, Panther Black, Moondust Silver, Paprika Red, Platinum, Brush Steel and a new colour Morello. “The Company Officials said.

” We have started with diesel engines but once our Chennai plant goes full steam in 2010, we may look at manufacturing petrol engines as well” said Nigel E Wark, executive director (sales and marketing), Ford India.

Tata Indicruz is a MPV which is powered by existing Safari’s 2.2 litre DICOR diesel engine. The Indicruz shares its name with TATA products like the Tata Indica, Tata Indigo, Indicom (Tata Telecom). So it should be easy to guess that the Indicruz will bear striking similarities to other Tata vehicles, and it does. The new Indicruz would provide more capacity to seat as the interior is quite roomy. The Indicruz will be launched in the segment in which Toyota Innova, Chevrolet Tavera, Mahindra Xylo will be competing. Even Tata Nano launching this month covering major consumer segment. The car is equipped with two air begs for the safety point of view. Tata Indicruz would offer traction control, climate control with personalized zones, navigation system, driver, passenger and side-airbags, anti-lock braking system, 4-wheel drive and other comfort, convenience and safety options. Indicruz is expected to carry the price Rs. 9 – 10 lakh but it is sure that car would shake the roads. “Quality is expected to be much better than the Safari and a shade better than the new Sumo Grande. The Tata Indicruz is expected to be unveiled in mid 2009″ Officials said.
