Olive Telecom, a wireless devices manufacturer company released India’s first 3G network supporting tablet personal computer, OlivePad VT100. The tablet operates on Google’s Android operating system. OlivePad VT100 is the first tablet of India that supports 3G networks. It was launched officially in New Delhi. The chairman of Olive telecom Arun Khanna told, “With this launch, we are bringing consumers to experience cutting edge technology. The Olive Pad is aimed at today’s technology savvy generation who want easy on the move connectivity.”
OlivePad tablet has a pretty sweet look and comes with 3.5G HSUPA (High Speed Uplink Packet Access). This tablet has very attractive features. Olive comes with 7-inch capacitive touchscreen display with an acceptable resolution of 800×480 pixels. It has inbuilt 3 mega pixel camera supports autofocus and 4x zoom. The sources of the company said, “The Company launched OlivePad-VT100. It operates on an android operating system and supports 3.5G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.”
The Olivepad VT100 is also a smartphone, which allows video calling and voice calling too. The tablet supports 600MHz Qualcomm M7227 chipset. The internal memory of this tablet is 512MB that can be expended up to 32 GB via memory card. Other attractive features of OlivePad are instant messaging, multimedia, GPS for maps, e-book reader, flash support, gaming console, Television and mini USB port. The tablet has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi support. It also has G-sensor, dual speaker, compass and light sensor.
The price of OlivePad VT100 is expected around $500 or Rs. 25,000. The Chief Executive Officer of Olive Telecom, David Hind said, “We are excited to launch the much awaited OlivePad in India. This latest creation from Olive will bring revolution in the field of technology with its magical features and stylish looks.” From August, it will available at all Croma stores in India.
