Xiaomi launched its Redmi 4 successor – the Redmi 4A – in the Indian market as an attractively priced budget smartphone promising great features and hardware.
The smartphone was released earlier this year and we got our hands on the smartphone and considered this to be the ultimate budget smartphone in the market. Xiaomi even launched an improved version of the same in the form of the Redmi 4, which we found to deliver the most bang for the buck. And now, Xiaomi has another new model in the budget Redmi series.
The Redmi 4A features some amazing hardware specifications that we haven’t seen in a smartphone tagged with such a small price tag (~$100). The smartphone comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Further, it is powered by the Snapdragon 425 chipset and boasts off a 5-inch HD display. There are a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP rear camera for the photography department. The smartphone is powered by a 3100mAh battery.
The 3GB RAM Redmi 4A is priced at Rs 6,999 (~$110), which is exactly the same as the entry-level Redmi 4 with 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM and a fingerprint sensor. It will be interesting to see whether consumers go for the powerful version of the Redmi 4A or the entry-level premium Redmi 4.
