Razer Unveils New Console Headphones: Thresher Ultimate Gaming Headset

"These are the most reliable and best-sounding wireless console headsets ever made".

Razer is adding to its growing gaming headset line with the Thresher Ultimate, a high-dollar option with distinct models for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 that differ in color.

Announced on Tuesday at E3, the Thresher Ultimate is a wireless headset created to sit comfortably on your head during long gameplay sessions thanks to over-the-ear cups heavily cushioned with memory foam. Through the Thresher Ultimate is primarily aimed at console games, both versions are compatible with PC and offer numerous same benefits. They also have a retractable digital microphone, and on-headset controls for microphone volume. There are on-headset controls to adjust both the master volume and mic. People who need to wear glasses should have a comfortable experience with the Thresher, as it also has foam indentations for temple relief.

By all appearances, Razer's latest headset looks like it shares a very similar design to its other sets of cans, namely the ManO'War and Kraken 7.1 V2.

The headsets can be used up to 40 feet away from their base stations, and have a battery life of up to 16 hours on one charge. The PS4 version works with PS4 and PS4 Pro and the Xbox One version works with Xbox One, One S and One X. As mentioned before, either version works with PC so you can choose whether you want it in green or blue if you are buying for the PC.

The Razer Blade Thresher for both the Xbox One and PS4 are available for pre-order now and are priced at $249 (about £200, AU$330). Let us know your opinions in the comments!
