Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions (3DS) Announced

Additionally, a new Goomba and Koopa Troopa amiibo were announced, both of which will have special functionality in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions.

We haven't gotten to step foot into the quirky Beanbean Kingdom since Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga released on the GameBoy Advance back in 2003. The title is a remake of the original Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and features a new mode called Minion Quest. You can see the difference in the trailer that aired during the Treehouse stream. This is a separate storyline starring enemy characters, with players recruiting Bowser's minions in order to grow an army and locate their missing leader. Included in this remake is the Minion Quest: The Search for Bowser mode, which tells the story of the game from the perspective of Bowser's minions. Most people associate the Paper Mario series with that kind of meta, tongue-in-cheek humor, but Mario & Luigi did it first.

During Nintendo's Treehouse Live stream, the company announced Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions for the Nintendo 3DS. As for when the game is released, it'll be on Nintendo 3DS for October 6th.
