Durant vindicates move to Warriors after fi nals victory

The Golden State Warriors say no decision has been made regarding a potential White House visit to celebrate their National Basketball Association title.

The Golden State Warriors made a strong case to be called one of the best teams in National Basketball Association history after a near-perfect run through the playoffs resulted in their second title in three years.

Durant, an eight-time All-Star who only needed a ring to cement his superstar status, scored 39 points in a championship-clinching 129-120 victory and averaged 35.2 points and 8.4 rebounds in these Finals.

Not to mention he got a quick jab at his critics with a well-timed Nike commercial shorty after the confetti fell in Oracle Arena.

Even averaging a triple-double in the NBA Finals wasn't enough for LeBron to bring the series beyond five games. She cheered him on courtside during Game 1 on this year's Finals, with some reports claiming she yelled "brick!" at Durant as he shot a free throw. But after losing to the Cavs in the Finals, they added Kevin Durant to a terrific core. "I just tried to stay with those principles and keep grinding". "The things that you said about my son, I really appreciate that, but I just think you were kind of harsh". The Warriors won a league-record 14 consecutive games during this year's playoffs and went 16-1 overall in the postseason.

James said he had no reason to feel sorry for himself.

Curry embraced Durant's arrival after the Warriors dropped last year's finals to Cleveland in seven games, an unselfish attitude that reflected Durant's desires and created an inside-outside pairing that was almost unstoppable.

The 2017 NBA Finals showed that the Cavaliers aren't equipped to beat the Warriors as now assembled, and LeBron James is growing older with heavy mileage from his many trips to the NBA Finals combined with Olympic and other global appearances.

"He's had an fantastic career, but he just took it to the next level", coach Steve Kerr said. Asked before the game if his team would approach the game as if it had "nothing to lose", Cavaliers coach Tyronn Lue responded, "We do have something to lose: a championship".

"I couldn't sleep for two days", Durant, who was named the Finals MVP, said during an on-court interview. He had an incredible series, just dominated.

Green recently told ESPN's Zach Lowe, a trusted reporter, he called Warriors GM Bob Myers as well as Durant after the 2016 NBA Finals.
