3 women found dead at Ohio home

Cleveland19 reported that the mother and daughter were still alive Saturday afternoon and were killed sometime that evening.

A husband and wife were found dead Monday at a home in North Canton -less than an hour's drive from North Royalton - hours before the standoff began. He stated there was "no visible sign" as to how the other two females were murdered. Police ruled out murder-suicide early in the investigation.

The man suspected of killing them as well as their mother and a Lake Township couple is in police custody facing murder charges.

A report via People cited Detective Dave Loeding saying Brinkman specifically targeted the women and that the attack was not random.

Investigators said Taylor suffered a stab wound, with police yet to release the cause of death of her two daughters. It appeared the Johns had been shot, Sheriff Maier said on Tuesday. Rogell's son said he knew something was wrong when the dog started to bark, and he noticed the bedroom doorknob broken off.

Brinkman had also allegedly dated the couple's daughter, Maier said. Police in North Royalton wouldn't say what kind of relationship, if any, the suspect had with the Johns or the slain mother and daughters. George Brinkman, who had been house-sitting for the couple, was the only person who had access to Rogell and Roberta's home.

The police in Brunswick made a forced entry of the house and used a stun gun to take Brinkman into custody.

Brinkman was first arrested for receiving stolen property and unauthorized access of a computer system in Cuyahoga County, OH, in September 1998, according to the Daily Mail online.

He was taken into custody Tuesday after a standoff in Brunswick. The police traced Brinkman using the Global Positioning System signal on his cellphone.

Although an unidentified woman was reportedly inside the house with the suspect, she also escaped the home without injury. He was threatening to kill himself and was drinking whiskey while he was barricaded inside.

A man who police say is suspected of murdering an OH mother and her two daughters this weekend has also been arrested in the killing of a couple soon afterward, PEOPLE confirms. Brinkman has not yet been charged in connection with the slayings of the three women from North Royalton.
