Huffman wins from breakaway in Stage 4 of Tour of California

The Amgen Tour of California men's race reached Morrow Bay today and a familiar name was at the front of the pack.

Santa Clarita will host a daylong "Lifestyle Festival" adjacent to the Stage 4 finish line at Magic Mountain Parkway at Westfield Valencia Town Center.

In its 12th anniversary year, the Amgen Tour of California promotes tourism on an global level and puts Big Bear Lake on the world stage.

Cyclists from all over the globe will start the stage along the oceanfront Cabrillo Boulevard at 11:30 a.m.

The women's 257-mile race, won by Dutch cyclist Anna van der Breggen, began in Lake Tahoe last Thursday and finished in Sacramento on the same Sunday the men's race began.

Bora-Hansgrohe's Majka, who has an overall lead of 2 seconds, edged out Lotto NL-Jumbo rider Bennett to win the stage while third place went to Ian Boswell of Sky and fourth to Lachlan Morton of Dimension Data.

The racers still have three more stages until the race ends in Pasadena on Saturday.

Daniel Jaramillo of UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling is leading the King of the Mountain competition. The groups selected to participate have included Olympic medalists, Tour de France contenders and world champions, according to the Amgen Tour of California. The victor of Stage 2, Majka has two seconds on George Bennett and 14 seconds on Ian Boswell, while top overall contenders Brent Bookwalter and Andrew Talansky are 48 seconds adrift.
