Samsung Galaxy Note 8: What Are You Expecting?
"Our newest product, the Galaxy S8, will change the existing smartphone paradigm". However, the spokesperson disclosed the number of pre-orders for the S8 and S8 Plus in home market of South Korea, which were recorded at more than 728,000. Naturally, that assumption is also reinforced by the fact that the Dallas, Texas-based mobile service provider hasn't made any official announcements on the matter so far, which probably wouldn't be the case if the device was slated to be released next week.
The tech firm said its spending on marketing for the Galaxy S8 is at a similar level to its predecessor Galaxy S7, but with additional expenses aimed to recover its brand image following issues with the Note 7. It might also start taking preorders from other e-commerce sites from the same day itself.
As for the pricing, T-Mobile is selling the regular 5.8-inch Galaxy S8 for $750, or $30/month for a period of two years.
The high-end variant of the smartphone i.e., the Samsung Galaxy S8+ sports a larger 6.2-inch QHD+ curved Super AMOLED display. Both the devices are backed by 4GB RAM+ 64GB inbuilt storage (expandable up to 256GB using a microSD card). Samsung has slashed the price of Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge by Rs. 5000 in India.
The leaked photo of the Galaxy Note 8 that surfaced on Slashleaks shows a large phone running Bixby, which is Samsung's own virtual assistant.
As for now, Samsung remained tight-lipped regarding its global pre-sales figures for Samsung Galaxy S8.
Samsung is confident about safety this time, as it has worked to prevent the same safety problems it had for the Note 7 previous year. The company is now ready to launch both these smartphones in India.
It's still unclear whether Samsung will consider an Active key on the Galaxy S8 Active, in addition to the dedicated Bixby button.
