Micro Machines is a great party title that if done right could flourish on the strength of its variety of online game modes.
As well as bringing to you the classic game modes like Race and Elimination, Micro Machines World Series will introduce a new style of game play to the series: Battle Mode. Top down racers were pretty common back then but this was based on Micro Machines which were great....it was also made by Codemasters who were great (still are) so it was obvious the game would do brilliantly.
The '90s era miniature, multiplayer racing franchise Micro Machines is set to make a comeback with Micro Machines World Series.
The last Micro Machines was out in 2006 and didn't cause the stir that previous entries did.
The trailer also reveals up to twelve players can compete in a race, plus the addition of new weapons and new game modes. Micro Machines World Series will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC on June 23.
Today marks the first time we've seen gameplay of the tile courtesy of the new trailer which showcases the battle mode in action, see the chaos for yourself below. The U.K. release will feature announcements by the aforementioned Brian Blessed, so it's possible we'll see other announcer cameos in alternative territories.
