'Notable bulges' on April the giraffe's left side, baby is 'extremely quiet'

April has developed a following since the zoo initially began live streaming her preparing to give birth on February 23. At any given time, over 50,000 people from across the world check up on the pregnant giraffe, waiting for her to finally give birth. According to her keepers at Animal Adventure Park, "she keeps us guessing". The calf will weigh around 150 pounds and be approximately 6 feet tall at birth, zoo officials said.

The video was initially removed after animal rights activists flagged the videos as "sexually explicit" before being restored.

Zookeepers at an upstate NY zoo say there are noticeable bulges on April the giraffe's side as she prepares to give birth. There is a chance April and her mate, Oliver, will be permitted outside Sunday.

Once she begins labor, it could take anywhere between two to six hours for the calf to show. "The calf's name will be decided through a concert", the park said.
